On December 8, 2025, 麻豆入口鈥檚 Department of Public Safety received a report from a female resident student that she was raped by a male resident student in a University residence hall during the early morning hours of December 7. The female resident and the male resident are known to each other. This report is unrelated to the report that resulted in the Safety Alert that was issued on Sunday. Out of respect for the victim鈥檚 privacy, and to not compromise the ongoing investigation, additional information cannot be shared at this time.
Sexual assault is a violation of University policy and the law. All forms of sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, dating/domestic violence and stalking, are not tolerated at 麻豆入口. Safety Alerts are part of the University鈥檚 responsibility to share timely information about certain serious crimes under the Clery Act and raise awareness to aid in the prevention of future crimes. In instances of sexual assault, there are many factors involved in determining whether a Safety Alert is sent. Whether an alert is sent does not diminish any individual incident or the harm done. The incident occurred in a University residence hall on December 6, 2025.
