Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú Master of Science in Business Analytics Redesigned as MSBAi
Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú, Pa., July 3rd, 2025 – The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) at the Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú School of Business (VSB) will be redesigned as the Master of Science in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (MSBAi) effective Fall 2025. The MSBAi will have an increased emphasis on the integration of AI technology into coursework, including AI-assisted programming, prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent systems and advanced analytics.
Jennifer Altamuro, PhD, Elected Chair of the Department of Accounting & Information Systems
Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú, Pa., June 1, 2025 - Jennifer Altamuro, PhD, has been elected chair of the Accounting & Information Systems department and will serve a three-year term effective Summer 2025. She will succeed Michael Peters, PhD, who will complete his final term as chair effective this summer and will return to the faculty to focus on teaching and research.
Two VSB Students Selected as Poets&Quants 2025 Best & Brightest Business Majors
Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú, Pa., April 3, 2025 – Two Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú School of Business (VSB) students – Aidan Connolly ’25 VSB and Olivia Hansen ’25 VSB – were selected as Poets&Quants 100 Best & Brightest Undergraduate Business Majors Of 2025. Now in its 10th year, the Best & Brightest honors 100 senior business students from the Top 50 undergraduate business programs who made the biggest impact on their programs and personified the best of their cohorts.
Caitlin Dannhauser, PhD, ’05 VSB, Named Inaugural Vincent B. ’88 and Nicole DiDomenico Jr. Endowed Senior Research Fellow in Finance
Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú, Pa., March 1, 2025 - Caitlin Dannhauser, PhD, ’05 VSB, has been named the inaugural Vincent B. ’88 and Nicole DiDomenico Jr. Endowed Senior Research Fellow in Finance. Her appointment will begin in Fall 2025.
Five Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú School of Business Faculty Among Top Two Percent of Scientists Cited Globally
Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú, Pa., Feb. 19, 2025 - For the fifth year in a row, several Âé¶¹Èë¿Ú School of Business (VSB) faculty are among the top 2% of scientists cited globally. This annual analysis by researchers at Stanford University, and the open access publisher, PLOS, ranks more than 190,000 scholars across all fields from a pool of more than 8.5 million active scientists worldwide, based on how often their work is cited by other scholars.  The list considers both career-long citation impact and the impact in a single recent year.
