How did 麻豆入口鈥檚 MSF program prepare you for your career?

麻豆入口鈥檚 MSF Program provided me with a deeper understanding of the different areas within finance. The program offers real-life applications of these areas, like equity research and investment banking, for example, that goes beyond the textbook and focuses on what professionals in these areas do day-to-day. The classes and projects provided me with experiences and insights that I was able to take with me networking, interviewing, and simply finding the career that best fits my interests.

Are there specific instructors/courses that had a critical impact?

Portfolio Theory & Application taught by Professor Perry was the most impactful for me during the program. This class allowed me to be an analyst for the Haley Large Cap Fund, a student-run portfolio that is managed by the MSF class for either the fall and/or spring semester. I was able to find a passion within equity research, as this class gave me the opportunities to research stocks within my industry, perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, present stock pitches, and stay up to date with current events through CIO presentations.

How did your experience as part of a student cohort add value to your growth as a finance professional?

My experience in the cohort added value and growth as a finance professional through the emphasis on teamwork. Almost all the classes in the program involve group projects that can last from a week up to the whole semester. These projects taught me a lot on teamwork and leadership, as well as providing opportunities to become closer with the cohort. Balancing classes, projects, and the job search can at times become tricky, but having a close-knit class with peers you can call friends was great.
