James A. Anderson 鈥70 CLAS, 鈥73 CWSL was honored as the 2023鈥24 Teacher of the Year at Seton Hall Law School. This is the seventh time he has been so honored at Seton Hall, where he has been a full-time professor since 1987. In addition, Anderson was reappointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Rules of Evidence for his eighth term.
Joseph E. Comaty, PhD, 鈥71 CLAS, 鈥76 MS was elected fellow of the American Psychological Association from Division 55, Society for Prescribing Psychology, at the association鈥檚 annual meeting in August 2024. He also received specialty certification in Serious Mental Illness from the American Board of Professional Psychology in October 2024.
Harry J. Durso 鈥72 CLAS, 鈥74 MA, a poet and board member of the Robert Frost Foundation, had a third poem acquired by the Lawrence (Mass.) History Center to become part of its permanent collection. Titled 鈥淲alking in Lawrence,鈥 the poem deals with the effect that the draft had on young men in Lawrence during the Vietnam War.
Daniel M. DiLella 鈥73 VSB, the chairman of Equus Capital Partners Ltd. and also a principal of the firm, has been appointed honorary consul of the Republic of San Marino in Miami, Fla. In this capacity, he will serve as a representative of San Marino, a small, independent republic located within Italy, helping to foster cultural, economic and diplomatic relations between the country and the United States, and assisting its citizens in the region with consular services. A former member of the 麻豆入口 Board of Trustees, DiLella funded the establishment of the Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate at the 麻豆入口 School of Business, where he is chair of the Real Estate Advisory Council. He also holds leadership roles for Espiritus Nova: The Campaign for 麻豆入口, serving on the Campaign Executive Committee and as co-chair of the VSB Campaign Committee..
Marshall G. Palardy 鈥74 VSB completed his 50th consecutive season as a soccer referee. He is a National Referee Emeritus with the National Intercollegiate Soccer Official Association and a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association.
Paula Orndoff 鈥76 CLAS directed, produced and wrote Wardensville: Tales From Tiny Town, a feature-length oral documentary airing on West Virginia Public Broadcasting. The film, acquired by the Smithsonian Institute as an addition to Orndoff鈥檚 collection in their permanent archives, gathers and preserves the collective stories, voices and memories of the townsfolk of Wardensville, W.Va., population 379.
Christine M. Tracy, PhD, 鈥77 CLAS published her third book, Just Trust Life: A Journey With Teilhard de Chardin, a memoir chronicling her encounters with the life and teachings of Teilhard, a French Jesuit priest. In addition, she serves on the Council of Scholar Advisors for the Teilhard Project.听
Vincent S. Caprio Jr. 鈥79 VSB, a 9/11 first responder, was recognized in February 2024 with a state citation on behalf of the government of Connecticut for his bravery and heroism during the rescue and recovery efforts following the terrorist attacks.
Joseph Lewis 鈥81 CLAS published his third book, Rediscovering the Joy of Children & Family: Why the World鈥檚 Declining Birth Rate Crisis Can No Longer Be Ignored. In 2023, Miracle at the Mission, his suspense novel, won first honorable mention for young adult fiction from the Catholic Media Association.

Honored for her courageous leadership in the fight to end breast cancer, National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) President Fran Visco 鈥83 CWSL received the Presidential Citizens Medal in January鈥攖he nation鈥檚 second-highest civilian award. John Gallagher 鈥99 CLAS, a board member of the American Society of Home Inspectors who has worked in real estate development, construction and inspections since the early 2000s, proposed a legislative solution to protect the rights of consumers, known as An Act to Protect the Right of Consumers to Purchase Safe and Habitable Homes. The bill, which was signed into law by Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, seeks to prevent sellers from discriminating against buyers and protect groups such as veterans utilizing government-backed loan products that contain inspection requirements.

With the world as her stage, 麻豆入口 Theatre alumna Taahira Davis 鈥23 MA achieved a remarkable milestone, earning a coveted spot in the prestigious British American Drama Academy (BADA) Midsummer Oxford Program at the historic Magdalen College, University of Oxford. Renowned for training top-tier talent, BADA specializes in classical theatre craft with a strong emphasis on Shakespeare. After an intensive month immersed in Shakespearean performance, Davis returned to Philadelphia and stepped into the spotlight as the lead in a contemporary reimagining of Antony and Cleopatra for the 2024 Fringe Festival. This June, she continues her Shakespearean journey with a role in Twelfth Night at The Stagecrafters Theater in Chestnut Hill, in Northwest Philadelphia.
Jared Plattman 鈥23 VSB received the Elijah Watt Sells Award, which, in 2023, was granted to CPA candidates who achieved a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the CPA exam. Of the 86,000 individuals who sat for the exam in 2023, only 40 candidates earned this accolade.
