Body Image Webinar
Join POWER and our campus dietitian for an interactive virtual webinar that will explore body image in a supportive, judgment-free space. The session will focus on increasing body positivity, reducing negative body thoughts, and building satisfaction with our bodies by shifting the focus from appearance to what our bodies can do. Students will discuss how social media, culture, and societal expectations influence body image and learn practical strategies to support themselves and others in creating body acceptance at all sizes. Unhealthy relationship behaviors often go unrecognized because people don鈥檛 have the tools to identify them until they escalate to abuse. The Escalation workshop is grounded in one student鈥檚 untimely death at the hands of her partner and the work of her family to raise awareness and empower today鈥檚 students to recognize unhealthy behaviors and respond in ways that are safe and effective.
